 AboutKevin Baran serves as a Senior Advisor for Sperry Van Ness, and is a member of the Sperry Van Ness National Office and Industrial Team representing the Chicago Market. He specializes in leasing and sales of medical and professional office buildings, and industrial properties throughout the Chicago market. His focus is on maximizing cash flow and re-positioning properties in preparation for sale. Baran has listed over 500,000 SF of medical, office and industrial / flex space at SVN, and is aggressively seeking new landlord representation agencies.Baran also has extensive Tenant Representation experience and works closely with his partner, Olivia Czyzynski, in locating new space for their large group of industrial and office clientele.Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Baran served as Senior Associate at a Chicago boutique commercial real estate company where he primarily focused on landlord / owner representation for over 600,000 square feet of industrial and commercial office space. In the last three years, he has secured transactions valuing in excess of $14 million in gross lease revenues. During his tenure, Baran brought several buildings from below 70% occupancy to above 90%, and subsequently collaborated in the marketing and sale of five buildings valued at over $50 million. He is also experienced with industrial leasing, tenant representation, and property management. Preceding his work in commercial real estate, Baran was a senior project manager in Architectural Woodworking for over 15 years, where he coordinated the manufacture and installation of commercial and high-end residential custom cabinetry and millwork projects.
